Our friends at Hands Across Mathews have alerted the community that their shelves are bare and they need our help, particularly with food. They are asking for canned goods, soup, fruit, vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce. They need protein items: like mac ‘n cheese, spam, tuna fish, dried beans. They also need cereal, and instant oatmeal. Toiletry items are low, and they can even use pet food. We don’t have to wait to make our donations until next Sunday. Hands Across Mathews will accept donations on Monday mornings between 9 and 10 am, and on Wednesday mornings from 9 until noon.
